LaFarge, Wisconsin: the school, the students and the land

More high school lockers. The school is K-12 under one roof.
Tables are set up everyday for lunch.

When the tables are down the room becomes a play area. Sometimes it is too cold to go outside.

We are glad that winter has passed and spring is here!

Llamas although originally from South America can live in Wisconsin
Sandhill cranes have returned to La Farge for the summer

Many people around LaFarge have horses.

The Kickapoo is a crooked river that is fun to canoe on in the summer.

Many of our neighbors are Amish farmers who use horse and buggy transportation instead of cars.

  1. Dear Ms. T. and Wisconsin Students,
We just viewed all of the photos you sent. We especially liked the llamas (which one is Barack O'Llama). The scenery looks beautiful. Only a few kids in our class have played in snow. Do you ice skate on lakes and ponds? Everybody laughed at the name of the river; Kickapoo is funny no matter who you are.
    Much love,
Mr. Slattery and the 802 Family
P.S. The Chargers are going to crush the Packers this season!

  2. Dear Mr. Slattery and 802 Family,
We read your comments yesterday. Thank you for posting to the blog. A new baby llama was born last week--not Barack O'Llama but a girl, Davinia. The kids say to tell you that they do ice skate sometimes just wearing boots on ice!
Your P.S. generated a photo response from Noah. See photos above!
    Have a good summer,
Ms. T. and the CLC students
